![]() But if you're up for a challenge, you can try to land your ship upside-down using the Nomai Walkways. You must first raise the Black Hole Forge, then fly to the Ash Twin and use the corresponding Ash Twin Tower to warp to the Black Hole Forge. Whilst the Black Hole Forge can be accessed from the uppermost level, the pathway is actually broken and you will find yourself unable to get to it. The Black Hole Forge was used by Clary, Poke, and Root to craft the Advanced Warp Core, which powers the Ash Twin Project. ![]() The forge itself can be raised and lowered from the control room on the first level of the Hanging City, and accessed via the uppermost level, which itself can only be accessed via the warp portal on Ash Twin. However, you are most interested in the fourth district, where the Black Hole Forge awaits. The Black Hole Forge is the source of all the Nomai warp cores found around the solar system, and is found suspended below the Hanging City on Brittle Hollow, just above the black hole at the planet's center. Take some time to explore one through three, for decoding messages there will give you some great background on the Nomai, to say the least. Note that there are other ways of getting into the Hanging City, but this will suffice for now, and you can always explore to find the others. Following the crystals forwards and later upwards will eventually get you to your destination. Landing close will keep you within its small radius of gravity, while missing or stepping too far will make you plummet. When finished, find the wall with a series of gravity crystals, which will grant you access to the Hanging City by hopping from one to the next. As this is surely impossible, continue checking the area to learn what happened to the ship, and where the problem truly lies. You will find the symbol of the Eye with information regarding how the Nomai became aware of a strange signal, but were perplexed by its age, which is to say that the Eye is somehow older than the universe itself. Note that this will be the crux of most gameplay investigation: enter a new area, look for text to decode, as well as scrolls or interactable objects that reveal more than meets the eye.Īnd then, a little way down, you'll casually come across the main objective for the entire game, in a drawing representing The Eye of the Universe. The information will reveal that Ember Twin contains a Quantum Moon Locator, but due to difficulties, the Nomai built another on the South Pole of Brittle Hollow. ![]() Take a nearby scroll from a shelf and insert it, providing you with a clue as to what you need to do. ![]() Right across from the deciphered text is an interactable spot in the wall. Pay attention to what comes up on the decoder, as it is the first big clue about what you are setting out to do, and that is to find the Eye of the Universe. Use your Nomai translator here (Hold RB) to decipher the text. Inside are trees to refill your O2 tank, along with our first set of Nomai writings on the wall. Head down beneath the Signal Locator by taking a set of nearby stairs. You’ll notice there is one option that does not work like the others. Find the Signal Locator and play around with it. ![]() As one of the nearby asteroids orbiting Timber Hearth, this is as good a place to start as any. ![]()
